Gain the Advantage
Dear Sundrop
I opened our self-serve yogurt shop in July 2010. Our shop is in a small community of less than 100,000in the whole county and we have a B location. Our shop does not sit on the road but up on a hill in a Publix shopping Center complex off of the main highway.
Our POS system that we use is Reflections by NCC. I have to tell you that my POS system in almost 2 years has worked flawlessly. Honestly, I think we have only had to call for Help 2 times during this time and it was not a problem with the system but how we were using it. I had a friend of mine recommend me to look at Sundrop Mobile for my loyalty program. I was looking for something that could differentiate us from competition. When I saw the system I loved it and I knew it would be a good fit.
I was able to get NCC together with Sundrop and they wrote the interface that allows me to collect data on my customers. We have over 10000 customers in our database. We have a keypad on the customer side and they are told about the loyalty program and they then key in their number and they are in the system(within seconds and they love that). We offer 7oz of free yogurt when they purchase $20. We charge $.45 per oz.
The reporting of Sundrop is off the chain. It will let you know when you send out a text to a segment or your whole base exactly what the redemption is of that particular offering. Additionally, when your customers come to your register and they put in their cell number you have the luxury of knowing who they are, their status (platinum, gold silver etc.), current points and last time they visited. This allows you to greet them by name which means a lot and if they earn a free yogurt with the purchase they are making.
I have two success stories to share with you regarding the NCC and Sundrop system. On August 20th of 2011 at 7:21 pm a Saturday night I sent out my own Groupon Text Blast to my whole base. It read as follows: Tonight from 8pm till 11pm Buy one Get one Free. No other rewards allowed. At 7:50 we had a line to get in the door and when it was all said and done we had 450 customers come through the door. It was very exciting.
In December, which is our slow winter months I ran a one day buy one get one free gift card sale. The customers love to use this for stocking stuffers etc. I only used Sundrop and sold $6000 of cards in one day.
When I opened I used one newspaper insert to open the business and since then the only advertising that I have done has been only using Sundrop. If I did not have Sundrop I believe I would not still be in business today because of the number of shops that have opened and the newness of the self-serve concept has worn off. “Gain the advantage and get Reflections and Sundrop and you will not be disappointed.” Both companies have been awesome to work with on a day to day basis.
Sincerely,
